Job Description

Salary: $160,000 - 200,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of delivering full product features from end to end.
• We need at least 3 years of practical experience building scalable, feature-rich front-end experiences with React, especially using functional patterns.
• We value a strong product mindset and proven success working in fast-moving startup environments where teams shift from building to optimizing.
• We expect a builders mentality and the ability to take ownership of mission-critical backend architecture and APIs.
• We require a bachelors degree.
• We can consider candidates based in the Bay Area or working remotely anywhere in the United States.

• We will have you architect and expand our core policy lifecycle APIs so our platform can reliably handle tens of thousands of complex transactions each day.
• We will ask you to design and develop full-stack product experiences, including modern React-based consumer portals and self-service tools for agents.
• We will rely on you to build robust orchestration middleware that powers the full insurance policy lifecycle, from quoting and issuance to endorsements, cancellations, and renewals.
• We will have you create and refine transactional workflows and batch processes that automate administrative operations such as lender notices and scheduled inspections.
• We will expect you to partner closely with our founders and cross-functional teams to connect our platform with global underwriting groups and specialty carriers.
• We will count on you to help shape our engineering culture as an early foundational hire, balancing technical rigor with the pace of a scaling startup.
