Job DetailsFloor Manager – Opening Leadership Role

SK Hospitality Group | Yamasaki Restaurant

Location: Financial District, New York City
Opening Target: May 2026

SK Hospitality Group is an exciting new hospitality company seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our opening team and help bring to life a dynamic, high-end dining destination in the heart of the Financial District, just steps from the New York Stock Exchange.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of building something from the ground up —not just a restaurant, but a brand. We are looking for team members who are passionate about hospitality and motivated to help shape our identity, culture, and guest experience from day one .

We are building a team that is collaborative, driven, and committed to excellence without ego —where high standards and genuine hospitality go hand in hand.

The space will feature two distinct dining experiences:

Upper Level: A refined Japanese / Asian fusion fine dining restaurant
Lower Level: An upscale–casual Latin fusion concept with vibrant energy

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume environments, leads by example on the floor, and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences while developing a strong, supportive team.

Position Overview

The Floor Manager will oversee all front-of-house operations and work closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure seamless daily service, exceptional guest experiences, and strong team performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role —someone who is present on the floor, supports their team, and leads with both professionalism and approachability.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead daily FOH operations, ensuring efficient, polished, and welcoming service across both concepts
  • Maintain an active presence on the floor, engaging with guests and supporting team members in real time
  • Uphold and evolve service standards that reflect both elevated hospitality and genuine warmth
  • Support hiring, training, and development of FOH team members, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings that inspire, inform, and align the team
  • Manage scheduling and floor plans to optimize service flow and team efficiency
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall guest-facing presentation
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and care
  • Partner with BOH leadership to ensure strong communication and seamless execution
  • Support service across regular dining, private events, and high-volume shifts
  • Assist with POS systems, reservations, and operational reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards
  • Lead by example—setting the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in a FOH leadership role (Floor Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar) in a high-volume restaurant
  • NYC restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with restaurant openings or new concepts is a plus
  • A natural leader who is both detail-oriented and people-focused
  • Strong guest service instincts and the ability to handle challenges with composure
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with POS and reservation platforms (Toast, OpenTable, Resy, etc.)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Work across restaurant, bar, and lounge environments
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead under pressure
