Communications Administrative Specialist

Reports To: Communications Director

Team: Communications

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Monday - Friday

Department: Creative Arts and Communications

Role Summary: The Communications Administrative Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Communications Director and team members. This role ensures team excellence and administrative compliance by managing various tasks and creating a welcoming environment for Servant Leaders in the Communications ministry. Key responsibilities include arranging meetings, oversight of the check-in process, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a TC team member, responsible for personal spiritual formation, growing as an Upward, Inward, Outward disciple of Jesus Christ. This will mainly be expressed through the Five Characteristics of a Transformer (worship, connect, serve, give, invite).
  • Responsible for protecting the Culture of TC and for living out the Five C's—Character, Competency, Catalytic, Collaboration, and Chemistry.
  • Supports administrative functions of the Communications team, including MyTC process queues, team events, meeting minutes, budget monitoring, servant leader onboarding, and other administrative areas.
  • Facilitates communication efforts under the direction of the Communications Director and ensuring brand standards are followed.
  • Maintains oversight of Communications team physical space, supplies, props, and event décor.
  • Coordinates involvement in church-wide and team events and meetings in collaboration with the Communications Director and team leads.
  • Assists Communications team in discovering, developing, and deploying servant leaders.
  • Supports weekend service preparations as designated by the Communications Director.
  • Manages communication and facilitation across the team, including team meetings, agenda items, meeting minutes, and information dissemination via Asana.
  • Collaborates with TC ministry teams and other Administrative Specialists to ensure timely completion of Communication team-related tasks.
  • Assists with copywriting and proofreading for various communications projects and initiatives.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
  • TC Membership Requirement: TC staff members must become members of Transformation Church within a reasonable period.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent with two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's degree and two years' related experience in ministry context preferred.
  • Computer and Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) required; experience with ASANA and/or MyTC/CCB software desired.

Certificates and Licenses: CPR/AED Certification may be required (provided by Transformation Church).

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have staff supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment is generally moderate, with varying lighting conditions and noise levels. May require occasional lifting and physical movement. Specific vision and manual dexterity abilities are required. Reasonable accommodation can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
